History of the DATSUN 240Z

The Datsun 240Z (Nissan S30), launched in late 1969, proved Japan could build a world-class sports car. Introduced to the American market by Yutaka Katayama, known as 'Mr K', it combined a smooth 2.4-litre SOHC straight-six, independent suspension and a long-bonnet fastback body at a price that dramatically undercut its European rivals. The 240Z became the best-selling sports car in the world during its run and won the East African Safari Rally in 1971 and 1973. Early Series I cars are the most prized before the 240Z gave way to the larger 260Z in 1973. Around 168,000 were built in Japan, and the 240Z is now a fast-appreciating blue-chip collectible.

Our goal is to link every existing source of information related to all car models produced on earth between approximately year 1900 to year 2000. With all these information, you will be able to select the ideal classic car for a great renovation project.
This is a work in progress project, which has began by the end of year 2018. This is also a part time project, as our founder is having a 9-5 job during the day, and is working on the entire everycars projects on free time.
